Planning Your Fall Family Photoshoot
in Connecticut with Portraits By Chaya
Why should you plan a family portrait session in the fall? Fall is the perfect time to capture your portraits! The changing foliage creates the perfect scenic backdrop for your session, and Connecticut has the most gorgeous locations, so we are sure to create beautiful art for you and your loved ones!
There are so many options for your wardrobe for your fall photoshoot, and all are sure to look beautiful. Some popular colors include burgundy, rust, burnt orange, and olive tones. Neutrals such as browns and creams are absolutely beautiful as well and never disappoint.
An added benefit for fall sessions is the earlier sunset time. The ideal time for portraits is during golden hour, about an hour plus before sunset, which in the summer can be as late as 7 pm. In the fall, with the days getting shorter golden hour is much earlier. This is beneficial for kids and adults alike!
This family session was at Tarrywile Park in Danbury, CT, one of my favorite locations in the fall!
Some of my favorite fall locations, are those with a lake surrounded by trees. The reflection of the trees in the water makes for some breathtaking sights and ethereal images.
This beautiful session below was done in front of the lake at Fulton Park in Waterbury. The results speak for itself!
