Newborn sessions are truly magical, especially when they involve twins! This delightful brother-sister twin session was a joy to plan, carry out, and deliver!
During our consultation, we decided to incorporate a mix of neutral colors, classic rose pink, and soft blue tones for this newborn session. The neutral colors worked well for matching sets of twins, while the pink and blue sets were perfect for individual images.
Baby Matthew and his sister Isabella were very cooperative and stayed asleep throughout the session. We began by capturing some beautiful neutral images on the beanbag poser, which are always some of my favorites because they focus on the baby's lovely features and are timeless.
We then swaddled the babies and moved on to capturing images on the floor using various beds, bowls, and the flokati rug. We used lightweight stretch wraps to keep the babies snug and content, changing the top decorative layer for each set. The baby's shots were set up similarly for both the baby girl and boy to ensure perfect symmetry for wall art or albums. Towards the end, we removed the baby's arms from the wrap to position them in the bucket, which is always a favorite among parents.
Matthew and Isabella did great, and we managed to capture nearly every pose we had planned for them! The session lasted about 4.5 hours, allowing for necessary soothing, changing, and feeding time between poses.
All of the beautiful images were designed into a custom heirloom album. I absolutely love collaborating with you to create the perfect the pieces of art for you and your family! We decided on a neutral color cover and arranged the album so that the images complimented one another.
